Primary care and the reduction of inequity in health

Two papers recently published in theInternational Journal for Equity in Healthadd to an important, but surprisingly still underdeveloped field of scientific inquiry – the contribution of primary care to reduction of inequity in health.

The first article: “Closing the health equity gap: evidence-based strategies for primary health care organizations” by Annette Browne and colleagues provides an important contribution by identifying key dimensions of equity-oriented primary health care services which can provide direction for organizations aiming to make significant headway in the eradication of unwarranted health differences between population groups.

In the second paper: “的影响在减少inequ初级卫生保健alities in child health outcomes, Bogota – Colombia: an ecological analysis” Mosqueraet al., provides an ecological assessment of the effects of primary care availability on reducing inequalities in child health outcomes in Bogotá, Colombia.

TheInternational Journal for Equity in Healthcontinues to be dedicated to the study of the contribution of primary care tohealth inequity reductionand invites more contributions in this field. You can submit your manuscripthereorcontactthe editorial team with any pre-submission enquires.
